    Beginner projects will include pinch pots, animal sculptures, bowls and an introduction to the potter’s wheel. Advanced students will have more time on the wheel and explore multiple decorating techniques. Students are encouraged to explore their own imaginations, create their own projects, and work at their own speed. Students will decorate functional pieces with food safe/microwave safe under glaze or glaze and sculptural pieces may be painted with acrylic paint.
   We teach basic beginners and advanced ceramics art classes.  We work with each student to determine students ability's.  We have simple beginners projects and move to more advanced projects as students abilities progress.  We encourage advance students to create their own projects.
  Our studio has 4 wheels, a hand building area and kilns.  The studio rate also applies during time a student would come to glaze.  We have various glazes to choose from.  Generally our schedule is very flexible and we try to work around our students schedules.  As long as we do not have a class away from our studio, a show, or a prior engagement we invite students to come work with us. 
  We also give studio & gallery tours by appointment. 
  We ask that people schedule at least 24 hrs in advance and we can take appointments months in advance.  (We also ask for students to cancel 24 hrs or more in advance if they can not make it.)

Students should come prepared.  Each student will need to buy a block of clay (25 pounds which is yours to keep and do with what you will) that we have on hand.  Wear cloths that can be soiled.  Tools and instruction are provided as part of your fee however the tools are property of Amused Studios unless sold to student.  Finishing work in the kiln is based on space consumed by projects and the fees that apply. Also, to make throwing and building clay easier please keep finger nails trimmed.  Rates are subject to change.
